DBasia.news – Belgian national team captain, Eden Hazard, could not contain his excitement after sending assists for goals scored by his own brother, Thorgan, to Russia’s goal in the 2020 European Cup qualifying match.
Eden sent a pass that was completed by Thorgan from the left side of the penalty box to open the benefits of Belgium in the 19th minute. Eden then recorded two goals before Romelu Lukaku completed Belgium’s 4-1 victory over Russia.
“Of course it’s great to be able to send assists for my brother,” he stated.
“Sometimes Thorgan scores, at other times I score. But overall, we are quite thrilled to win,” he said.
The victory also locked the position of Belgium at the top of the final standings of Group I, although it still leaves one qualifying match.
Belgium is now collecting 27 points or six points ahead of Russia (21) in second place. Both teams have made sure to qualify for the 2020 European Cup finals since last month.
