Eder Militao is growing fast and appearing consistent

DBasia.news – Real Madrid and Brazil defender Eder Militao is having his best year in 2021. Since El Real has brought him in in 2019 from FC Porto for 50 million euros, this year Militao has appeared consistent.

Last season under Zinedine Zidane Militao played 21 times (1,730 minutes), scoring two goals and providing one assist. He made 19 fouls (including minor) averaging less than one foul per game, and made 703 passes.

Madrid did not win a trophy last season but Militao’s performances were good and consistent, especially replacing Sergio Ramos when he was injured. Even Militao compatriot, Thiago Silva believes Militao is ready to replace Ramos who was left Madrid.

“I believe, from now on, with the departure of Sergio Ramos (Militao) will become one of the pillars of Real Madrid,” said Silva with full confidence about Militao.

Continuing to Copa America 2021

Brazil qualified for the knockout stages as leaders of the 2021 Copa America Group B standings. Militao is one of Tite’s key players in Brazil’s back line with his partnership with PSG defender Marquinhos.

“Eder is very comfortable here. We talk a lot and I try to convey as many things to him as possible so he feels comfortable. Now he is more comfortable,” added Marquinhos of Militao.

Not only solid in defense, Eder Militao also completed 175 passes. He became the third most effective passer in the Brazil squad after Marquinhos and Fred. That is, Militao is strong in defense, able to score goals, and build attacks from the back line.
