Edinson Vacani’s Pick for 2018 Ballon d’Or

DBasia.news –Everyone has their own candidate to win the 2018 Ballon d’Or. Including Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker, Edinson Cavani who chose Raphael Varane as the winner instead of Luka Modric.

France Football has released the list of 30 nominees of 2018 Ballon d’Or recently. From the 30 names, there are old faces like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, to Neymar.

But, the candidate is Luka Modric, Kylian Mbappe, and Raphael Varane. These three players aren’t just successful at the club level, but also the national team.

Asked about the player deserves the Ballon d’Or this time, Cavani mentioned Varane. He got the Champions League title and 2018 World Cup.

“I think a Frenchman should win, there are other players who could, but it should be a Frenchman, they have won the World Cup,” Cavani said reported by AS.

“Modric has had a great season, but his team-mate Varane won the Champions League and the World Cup, Modric was a finalist and had a great campaign, but Varane deserves it more,” the Uruguay national team player explained.

Ronaldo and Messi always dominated the Ballon d’Or during the last decade. The announcement of this year would be conducted in Paris on December 3rd.
