Eric Cantona Supports Solskjaer to Become Manchester United’s Permanent Manager

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

DBasia.news –  Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Manchester United’s board of directors through improving club performance. Club legend, Eric Cantona, fully supports Solskjaer for becoming Man United’s permanent manager.

Man United went through 13 matches in all competitions with 11 wins, one defeat (0-2 from PSG), and one draw (2-2 against Burnley), under the direction of Solskjaer. Even though the season has not entirely ended, Solskjaer has been approved to be worthy of being a permanent manager for the Red Devils.

Not only reaching an extraordinary victory, Man United showed an interesting offensive  game with Sir Alex Ferguson’s popular style: offensive, energetic, unyielding and strong game determination.

One other important thing is the positive atmosphere in the player’s locker room and Solskjaer’s greatness in maximizing the player’s talent. Paul Pogba became one of the players who rose under his care through nine goals and five assists from a total of 12 matches.

45-year old Solskjaer, really understood United’s kitchen as he had played there in mid-1996-2007 and became a club legend, with a historic moment when he helped the team win the 1999 treble winner.

Without hesitation, Cantona, who had played for one season with Solskjaer at Man United, fully supports the Norwegian man to becoming Man United’s permanent manager next season.

“He (Solskjaer) has a soul from the club, and you can feel that he has inspiration from Alex Ferguson. Like Johan Cruyff and Pep Guardiola at Barcelona – Ole Gunnar is the spiritual son of Alex Ferguson,” said Cantona to Paddy Power.

“Not all players can be managers, but some of them can be competent, and for me it is important for a club like Manchester United to have someone who has a soul club, who understands the club from within.”

“So now, look at United, I’m very happy. Finally, the club made the right decision, a decision I thought they did a long time ago. I don’t know the agreement with the club, but for me as a fan – now I’m a United fan – feeling happy in seeing the club’s soul finally returning. We lost it since Ferguson retired, “Cantona concluded.
