Erik Ten Hag ignores Pep Guardiola

DBasia.news – Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, is ignoring Pep Guardiola and feels sure that his current club is indeed his match.

Pep Guardiola had said that Erik ten Hag could be the right successor for him at Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s statement is not arbitrary if you look at the history of these two coaches.

Erik ten Hag coached Bayern Munich’s second team in the same period as Pep Guardiola’s first team.

This history is considered by Pep Guardiola to be repeated at Manchester City.

This is now difficult to materialize considering that Erik ten Hag actually coaches another Manchester club and is contracted until June 30, 2025.

Erik ten Hag also confirmed that he refused to walk back and chose a different path.

“I take Guardiola’s comments as a compliment,” said Ten Hag as reported by BolaSport.com from the Daily Mail.

“However, I also believe up to 100% to always choose Man United,” added Ten Hag.

Ten Hag has shown his great intention to train Man United since the 2022-2023 season has not yet started.

The coach even accepted the offer of the club nicknamed the Red Devils before last season ended.

Ten Hag’s decision has so far not been smooth.

Ten Hag’s first two competitive matches with Man United ended in defeat.

In the first two weeks of the Premier League, the Red Devils were even stranded in the relegation zone.

However, Ten Hag can lift his team slowly so Guardiola’s offer means nothing to him.

Still, Ten Hag was unable to contain his admiration for the coach of his rival club.

“I admire Guardiola not only because he has proven to be successful,” stated Ten Hag.

“He also does it in a way that attracts people to watch football,” continued the Dutchman.

Ten Hag and Guardiola are preparing for their first meeting in the Manchester derby this season.

Man City will host Man United in a match held at the Etihad Stadium, Sunday (2/10/2022) at 22.00 WIB in the continued 2022-2023 Premier League.

Ten Hag and Guardiola’s tactical battle will be tested to find out the real owner of the City of Manchester.
