Erling Braut Haaland’s Goals are More Than Manchester United

DBasia.news –  Erling Braut Haaland, a 19-year-old striker from Norway, never stopped scoring with his new club, Borussia Dortmund, in the Bundesliga.

Latest, Haaland returned to score two goals when Borussia Dortmund won a landslide 5-0 victory over Union Berlin in Week 20 of the Bundesliga which took place at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday (01/02) night Western Indonesian Time. The other three goals were scored by Jadon Sancho (13′), Marco Reus (68′ – penalty), and Axel Witsel (70′).

Two additional goals mean Haaland has scored a total of seven goals in the Bundesliga since coming from Salzburg in January. The details, hat-trick goals against Augsburg (5-3) and two goals against FC Koln (5-1). Dortmund scored 15 goals in three games.

The son of the former Manchester City player, Alf-Inge Haaland, scored seven goals in a total of eight shots and within 136 minutes of appearances. Fantastic number for a player who isn’t even 20 years old.

“He (Haaland) has a great touch of the ball and I hope he continues,” said Haaland teammate Julian Brandt, quoted by Bild.

“The goal was a very special combination of physical strength, goal-scoring instincts and incredible speed,” added Michael Zorc, Director of Sports Dortmund.

Ironically, according to records from Squawka, when Haaland scored seven goals for Dortmund in the league, Manchester United actually only scored four goals in the league since changing years. It’s no longer a secret that Man United was previously linked and eyeing Haaland – before going to Dortmund.

Man United failed to recruit Haaland, Mario Mandzukic, in the winter transfer window until he eventually borrowed a former Watford striker, Odion Ighalo, from Shanghai Greenland Shenhua without an option to buy and borrowed for six months.

Since changing the year to 2020 Man United can only score four goals in the Premier League from a 4-0 win over Norwich City on 11 January. The rest, United lost to Arsenal (0-2), Liverpool (0-2), Burnley (0-2), and a draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers (0-0).

Manchester United showed their difficulty in scoring after Marcus Rashford was injured, while Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial were unable to answer expectations. At the same time, Haaland showed one side of the shortcomings of the Red Devils directed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
