DBasia.news – Erling Haaland continued to showcase his skills scoring twice in Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Leeds United.
In the Premier League continued, City opened the scoring through Rodri ahead of halftime, before Haaland added to his team’s advantage in the 51st and 64th minutes.
Leeds scored a consolation goal through a goal by Indonesian player Pascal Struijk in the last 17 minutes, but the visitors were able to maintain their lead until the end.
With this win, City stayed on course for the title race as they occupy second place and are five points adrift of leaders Arsenal.
Haaland has now hit 20 goals in 14 Premier League appearances, overtaking his father, Alfie Haaland (18 goals in 181 appearances). Haaland has also managed to reach that tally in fewer appearances than any other player in the competition’s history (14 matches).
Pep Guardiola’s troops must shift their focus to face the Premier League continuation by hosting Everton at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday (31/12) evening WIB the day after tomorrow.
