Ernesto Valverde Denies Arturo Vidal Leaving Barcelona

DBasia.news –  Ernesto Valverde insists he does not want to lose any more players after releasing Carles Alena to Real Betis. It was a response to the issue of Arturo Vidal’s transfer to Inter Milan.

Valverde said it was related to the interest of Inter Milan to bring in Arturo Vidal. The Nerazzurri wants to meet him with his former coach at Juventus, Antonio Conte, and try to take advantage of the situation in Barcelona.

As is known, Vidal is rarely played by Valverde, who prefers Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong, and Arthur as a trio of midfielders. That also made Alena head to Real Betis.

Vidal, 32, has even heated up the transfer rumors by discussing the situation at Barca and preparing to sue the club for not paying the promised bonus.

“I don’t think the contractual problem will affect the sport aspect,” Valverde said, as quoted by Marca.

“Vidal trained as well as usual and had to solve his problems with the club. We will find a solution internally, this is not the first time something like that has happened and it won’t be long. I don’t see any problems.”

“After the move of Carles Alena (to Real Betis) no one will leave,” stated the former Athletic Bilbao coach.

Inter are reportedly starting to look for alternatives to Vidal by targeting Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Christian Eriksen. Inter are looking for players in January to add depth to their squad which was Conte’s concern.
