Europe League Matches Review: Barca Lead the Table, Napoli Closer to Juventus

Barcelona

DBasia.news – FC Barcelona achieved three points when they won the LaLiga match against Leganes 3-1, Sunday (20/1). Meanwhile, in Serie A, Napoli cut the gap with the leader, Juventus.

Both Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid also won on the 20th-week of LaLiga. That’s pressure for Barcelona as the table leader.

That’s because Barcelona played later than both of the rivals, raising the unexpected pressure.

It’s proved, Barcelona faced difficulty in the first half. Ernesto Valverde squad initiated the dominance by Ousmane Dembele at 32′.

The second match just went 12 minutes when Leganes equalized the score. Martin Braithwaite’s goal couldn’t be anticipated by the goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Luckily for Barcelona, they have the players like Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi. Both players scored the decisive goals at 71′ and 90′.

Meanwhile, Napoli cut the gap with Juventus to be six points after the 2-1 victory against the strong contender, Lazio.

Napoli only needed 37 minutes to score two goals to Lazio. Jose Callejon and Arkadiusz Milik wrote their name on the scoreboard. Lazio responded by the goal from Ciro Immobile.

The victory brings Napoli to have 47 points. It’s six points behind Juventus as the table leader, but they still have one match remaining.
