Ever Banega Leaves Sevilla with Europa League Title

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Sevilla won their sixth Europa League title. After the victory, Los Nervionenses will be left behind by their flagship player, Ever Banega.

In the final match against Inter Milan at RheinEnergie Stadion, Saturday (22/8) in the morning WIB, Banega appeared from the first minute. He carries out his duties as a general in Seville’s midfield.

In this fierce match, Sevilla finally won 3-2. Banega also contributed one assist for the second goal scored by Luuk de Jong.

Before appearing in the final match, Banega had already made the decision to leave Sevilla. The 32-year-old player will continue his career in Saudi Arabia with Al-Shabab.

“I am very happy, I have no words to describe how I feel at this moment. I have to leave the club in my life,” Banega told Movistar.

“I went with another title, thanks to my teammates and I left with my head held high.”

The trophy in 2019-2020 is not the only Europa League title that Banega has presented for Sevilla. Previously, he also helped the club win it twice in a row in 2015 and 2016.

Banega already strengthened Sevilla in the summer of 2014. He crossed to Inter Milan for one season in 2016-2017 before returning to Spain.

Unfortunately, Banega’s farewell moment with Sevilla was a little tarnished. The Argentine player was caught on camera teasing Inter coach Antonio Conte.

That moment happened in the first half. Banega mocked Conte by calling his hair a wig. The 51-year-old coach, who was known for his temper, caught his temper.

Conte tried to approach Banega even though he was prevented. He then challenged the player to fight after the match.

Not yet known how the end of their feud. However, this is certainly not enviable and slightly tarnished Banega’s impressive performance throughout the match.
