DBasia.news – Due to his lack of playing the minute for Ernesto Valverde squad, FC Barcelona, last season, Yerry Mina decided to leave to Everton this summer.

Before officially joining The Toffees, the Colombian player was rumored to join another Premier League club, Manchester United, who wanted to strengthen the defense at that time. However, The Red Devils’ interest to recruit him vanished because Mina chose to support Everton.

Mina’s decision to come to Goodison Park was purposively to get more experience in the regular squad. However, there is another factor why he didn’t support Man United.

The 195-cm-height player admits that he never had a contact directly with The Red Devils. He said Man United manager only approached his agent.

“I was always focused on Everton. Any talk with Manchester United was just to my agent,” Mina said quoted by Goal.

Besides, Mina also admitted that he has been interested to support Everton since a long time ago.

“But Everton has always been an important club for me, honestly. I watched them when back in the day when (Marouane) Fellaini was playing here,” he concluded.
