Everton’s Own Way to Improve Children’s Mental Health

DBasia.news –  Everton got a draw against Newcastle at Goodison Park on Tuesday (21/1). But there are interesting things that became the center of attention in the match.

Moise Kean opened the Everton advantage in the 30th minute. The Toffees doubled the position nine minutes after the break through Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Unfortunately, two Florian Lejeune goals at the end of the match buried Everton’s hopes of victory. Score 2-2 also lasted until the fight was over.

However, there is something unique about the match. Before the match, the composition of the Everton players looks different than usual.

If most Premier League clubs use player portraits for the introduction of the line-up, Everton is different. In the match against Newcastle, the picture of the boy is actually seen.

It was fourth-grade students at Linacre Elementary School who drew the shape of the Everton players. Apparently, the Toffees invited them to the club’s training base at Finch Farm.

The activity is part of the Everton campaign in support of improving mental health for children. Several players joined the session such as Fabian Delph, Theo Walcott, and Jonas Lossl.

Also, the students were invited to watch the match between Everton and Newcastle. In the match, the Toffees social media account uploaded the pictures of the students.
