Failed to Defeat Everton, Sarri Is Disappointed with Chelsea’s Performance

Maurizio Sarri

DBasia.news – Playing at Stamford Bridge didn’t necessarily guarantee Chelsea could win easily. It’s proved by how they played draw with no goal against Everton on the 12th-week of Premier League.

Dominating the game and dominated the ball possession, 67:33, The Blues failed to concede Jordan Pickford’s net until the referee blew the final whistle.

Responding to the draw result of the team, the manager Maurizio Sarri speaks up and reveals what made Eden Hazard and friends failed to get the maximum point in this match.

“I didn’t like very much the first 25 minutes because, like in the match against Crystal Palace, we started moving the ball very slowly,” Sarri said quoted by ESPN.

“So it was impossible for us to be dangerous, and easy for the opponents to defend. Then I think we played a very good match in the second part of the first half, and for 40 minutes in the second half. We were a bit unlucky,” he added.

Not only considering the team was unlucky and performing slowly in the first half, but the former Napoli manager also stated the players must be more accurate in the goal area.

“In this moment maybe it’s a little problem. In the last three matches, we created few goal opportunities in relation to how much we played,” Sarri concluded.

The draw result against City makes Chelsea drop to the third position of the temporary table. Meanwhile, they are still unbeaten in the Premier League.
