DBasia.news – Manchester United will play young players to compete against FC Astana in the Europa League group stage on Thursday (11/28) night. FC Astana coach, Roman Hryhorchuk believes that the young players who were revealed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the match will not be underestimated.
United had confirmed their escape on the fourth matchday yesterday, and Ole then brought in 14 young players from the academy, while senior players were left in Manchester in preparation for Aston Villa at the weekend.
Ole was accused of disrespecting the opposing team and 480 United fans who flew far to Kazakhstan, but Hryhorchuk rejected that notion.
“I can assure you that they will continue to play very well, regardless of the age of the players they send down,” Hryhorchuk said at a press conference.
“If they play for a great team like Manchester United, then their level is high, they are high-level players.
“I can tell you that they are very motivated to win, and they have a chance to play in the Premier League. I suspect there will be a very good fight with them.
“I don’t think ‘disrespectful’ is the right word. We understand how far Manchester United is and, like other matches, they have players for other competitions, we understand that.
“If they play for Manchester United, they are high-level players. This is a serious match for us and our opponents are a very strong team.”
