DBasia.news – The new Juventus player, Federico Chiesa looks very happy after making his debut in the Champions League. Plus, in that match Juventus won.
Federico Chiesa headed to Juventus on loan from Fiorentina. The Italian international is expected to increase Juve’s prowess from the flanks.
Chiesa earned Andrea Pirlo’s trust, including in the match against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League. Chiesa played 90 minutes of the Bianconeri’s 2-0 win.
It was Federico Chiesa’s first time playing in the Champions League. Chiesa is happy because he can contribute to Juve’s victory.
“I put myself in the coach’s wishes and do what he asks, which is to play wide and past the opponent when I have the ball,” Chiesa told Sky Sports Italia.
“It’s fantastic to make a debut in the Champions League especially when you win. So it could be better. We want to start strong and give everything we have.”
“There was a lot of criticism after the draw against Crotone. It is only natural because the expectations at Juventus are always high. We are expected to win every time we go onto the pitch.”
In the match against Dynamo Kiev, Federico Chiesa got a role as left wing. Meanwhile, Juan Cuadrado appeared from the other side.
“I play wherever the coach puts it. The coach wants to change tactics and bring the players on the wing. We did well here and at Crotone to break the deadlock in a game which could be problematic,” said Chiesa.
Currently, Juventus is in second place in the 2020-2021 Champions League Group G standings. La Vecchia Signora has the same points as the leaders, Barcelona.
