DBasia.news –  The Spanish striker Fernando “El Nino” Torres, decided to hang on his shoes, aka retirement. Torres expressed it through social media.

Fernando Torres began his career at the Atletico Madrid academy. After promotion to the senior team in 2001, the Spanish bomber chose to leave for Liverpool the following six seasons.

The name Fernando Torres is more fragrant after playing at Liverpool. He packed 81 goals plus 20 assists for four seasons defending the Reds.

Torres’s career is increasingly rising after heading to another English club,   Chelsea. The 35-year-old was part of the Blues when they won the Champions League title in the 2011-2012 season. One year later, Torres helped Chelsea win the Europa League.

Slowly, Torres’s career finally declined. He failed to show the best performance while at AC Milan. Not surprisingly, Torres chose to return to Atletico Madrid in the 2016-2017 season. Together with Los Rojiblancos, Torres again won the Europa League title.

After feeling enough to defend   Atletico Madrid, Torres is challenged to continue his career in Asia. The player chose a Japanese club, Sagan Tosu.

However, Torres only lasted one year at Sagan Tosu. This time, the player doesn’t want to change clubs again but retires.

“After 18 exciting years, it’s the right time to end my career. On Sunday 23rd, at 10:00 am Japan time, I will hold a press conference in Tokyo to explain the details. See you,” Fernando Torres said on Instagram.

In addition to winning at the club level, Fernando Torres also won success with the Spanish national team. Torres won the 2010 World Cup and the 2008 and 2012 European Cup.
