Firmino Responds to Rumors of Coutinho’s return to Liverpool

DBasia.news – Roberto Firmino liked an upload on Instagram that reports the return of Philippe Coutinho to Liverpool. Coutinho left Liverpool for Barcelona with a fee of 142 million pounds, back in January 2018 but had difficulty adapting at Camp Nou.

Barcelona is rumored to provide discounts for teams who want to purchase Philippe Coutinho. El Barca reduced the price of the player from 80 million pounds to 44.5 million pounds.

The discount has made Premier League clubs increasingly interested. One of the teams who reportedly wanted to bring in Coutinho is Liverpool.

Firmino, a teammate of Coutinho in the Brazilian national team, responded. Firmino signed on an upload on Instagram.

“Of course, why not? I can’t think of a single reason why for not accepting it. The only place that made him shine was Liverpool. The team loved him, he loved the place,” Nicol told ESPN.

“Can you imagine adding Coutinho to a squad that is still a European champion and will win the Premier League?”

However, Nicol believes Coutinho must sacrifice if wanting to return to Liverpool. The former Inter Milan player needs to cut his salary.

“When it comes to salary deductions, yes I heard it. He receives a salary of 13 million pounds per year. He has to reduce it,” he stated.

Indeed, the performance of Philippe Coutinho at Bayern Munich has not been too bad. Coutinho scored eight goals plus six assists.
