DBasia.news – President of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez said that Los Blancos will not be spendful in the transfer market next summer.
Real Madrid have been named as LaLiga champion for the 2019-2020 season after a 2-1 win over Villarreal on Friday.
Coach Zinedine Zidane has led the Spanish capital city giant back to the top of the domestic league, having inherited a squad that was having problems when he returned to coach Real Madrid for the second time in March 2019.
The challenge of the Frenchman now is to build from this point and continue to maintain dominance in Spain.
However, Perez said that the mission would not be supported by massive player spending. Perez is well known for spending large amounts of money to bring in star players, but the corona virus pandemic has slightly changed his transfer policy.
As is well known, all soccer clubs experience a loss of income when the competition must be suspended. With that in mind, Perez has indicated that Real are not going to work in the upcoming transfer market.
“No (there will be big players this summer),” Perez said as quoted by Goal on Friday.
“The situation is very bad. It’s difficult to ask players to take salary deductions to help deal with it and then make transfers. It can wait.”
“Madrid will sign the best contract again when the situation changes.”
Real Madrid themselves are full of star players, so they still don’t need to bring in other star players. They will even sell players like James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale and possibly bring in inexpensive players to keep Los Blancos competitive.
