DBasia.news – AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic says his team are disappointed after being knocked out of the Champions League. Ibra insists, Milan is ready to make up for it with the Scudetto.

A 1-2 loss to Liverpool at the San Siro ended the Rossoneri’s run in the competition. Milan finished the group phase at the bottom of Group B with four points, while the Reds and Atletico Madrid won the two tickets to qualify.

However, Milan’s poor performance in Europe is not worth three money with domestic competition. Stefano Pioli’s team are actually mighty in the Italian League after occupying Capolista after winning one point from defending champions Inter Milan below.

Last season, Inter finished bottom of the Champions League group stages before winning Serie A for the first time in 11 years. Milan itself last won in 2010/2011, and Ibrahimovic made sure his team would give everything to win.

“We are disappointed to be eliminated from the Champions League. We are very, very sorry, but we will fight to win the Scudetto,” said the Swedish football icon to Radio Deejay, quoted by Football-Italy.

“We will do everything to win it, and we will not give up. In failure there is also success. We will grow and gain experience,” Ibrahimovic.

After the failure in the Champions League, AC Milan had to rush to focus again on the Italian League match this weekend. Milan will travel to Udinese headquarters in the 17th giornata on Sunday (12/12/2021).
