Forgive me Malaysians – Dominic

By news-admin

DBasia.news – National defender, Dominic Tan admitted his mistake to trip Japanese striker, Ayase Ueda who made a penalty at the end of the match last night.

“I have to admit my mistakes and we were defeated. Of course I will learn from this mistake,” Dominic said.

“It’s not an easy task when you face two of Asia’s best teams (South Korea and Japan) in a short period of time.”

When the match is expected to continue until extra time at the Patriot Stadium Chandrabhaga, Japan gets a penalty at the end of the game when Dominic tripped Ueda in the penalty box.

Ueda himself perfectly ensured a 1-0 win for Samurai Blue.

Japan’s manager, Hajime Moriyasu made a clever choice by putting Ueda in the game at the 76th minute to give more strength to the attacking line after his main striker Daizen Maeda squandered a lot of opportunities from the start of the game.

“Soccer is sometimes like this, and we have to go forward. The achievement of reaching to the second round is something to be proud of,” he said.

Earlier Malaysia emerged as champions of Group E with two victories including a defeat to longtime champion South Korea 2-1.
