DBasia.news – The debut season in Massimiliano Allegri’s second term at Juventus did not go well. Il Bianconeri have not won a trophy in the 2021-2022 season. The inconsistency showed a decline in the performance of Juventus and helped make the legend Mauto Camoranesi explain the condition of the Old Lady.
Former Juventus player in mid 2002-2010, Mauro Camoranesi, discussed the current condition of Juventus. The decline in Juventus’ performance occurred due to the change of coaches from Maurizio Sarri, Andrea Pirlo, and now with Allegri.
According to Camoranesi, who is currently pursuing a coaching career, when Juventus won the Scudetto with Sarri it happened because rival teams, such as AC Milan and Inter Milan, had difficulty performing consistently or often played poorly.
“In the last four years, certain goals have changed, they have three coaches in three seasons, with very different ideas and players with different characteristics,” Camoranesi said as quoted by Football-Italy.
“It seems there was a project at least a few years ago, then Maurizio Sarri was brought in with players who didn’t fit his idea. He won the Scudetto, but that’s only because all the other teams struggle to do well.”
“A coach can only do his job. You need good players, Allegri is right when he says it,” added the Argentine player with Italian passport.
In addition to analyzing the current condition of Juventus, Camoranesi also talked about the transfer of Juventus. He hopes Danilo and Juan Cuadrado stay, while Matthijs de Ligt, who is being targeted by a number of European clubs, is considered by Camoranesi to be more suitable to play in the Premier League than Serie A.
“Cuadrado has always been my favorite (player), he really brings entertainment value to life, and I really like Danilo,” added Camoranesi.
“De Ligt is an extraordinary player with an extraordinary future ahead of him. It’s true he made mistakes, but what defender doesn’t?
“I see that he fits better in the Premier League than Serie A, a competition where there are more individual duels than in Italy,” explained the 2006 World Cup winner with the Italian national team.
