DBasia.news – Paul Pogba is in his second period in Manchester United. The first period wasn’t so good under Sir Alex Ferguson and former Man United player revealed his bad habit.
No one doubts the quality of this 25-year-old midfielder during his best performance. But, in one or two moments, Pogba also had a gap in his performance: easy to lose the ball, too much dribbling the bal, and often late helping the team in defending.
That issue made Mourinho and Pogba argued last season regarding the best position. The issue continues until now and raised the rumor of Pogba’s exit to Barcelona or Juventus, his former club in 2012-2016.
Pogba raised in Man United academy. He left to Turin in 2012 due to disappointment to Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson who didn’t trust him to play and chose Park Ji-sung and Phil Jones as the midfielders, even though it wasn’t their position.
Former United midfielder, Darren Fletcher, revealed an interesting fact about Pogba, who has the ill-discipline issue since he played as United’s substitute player.
“The first time I spent out with my illness five or six years ago, I did a spell coaching with the reserve team with Warren Joyce when the reserve team included lots of talented players like Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Ravel Morrison. In that team, we played Pogba a lot higher up the pitch,” Fletcher told Sky Sports.
“We felt like he was the one player in the team that would go and win us games. It was also because of the fact that we thought he had a bit of ill-discipline in the middle of the park as a normal central midfielder.”
“The manager picked Ji-sung Park, Phil Jones and Rafael da Silva and Paul was on the bench. At that time we didn’t feel like he was disciplined enough for the reserve team to be playing in the middle of the park so to then jump to be playing in the first team in an important game was a big step,” Fletcher added.
So, no wonder that Pogba’s ill-discipline habit continues until now, where he often talks to the media without thinking about the consequence.
