Former Player Shocked Juventus Choose Andrea Pirlo as Coach

DBasia.news – Juventus legend, Alessandro Del Piero said he was surprised by the choice of Andrea Pirlo as the new Bianconerri coach. Even so, Del Piero believes Pirlo can provide success for Juventus.

Alessandro Del Piero gave his support to Andrea Pirlo ahead of the restart of Serie A. As a new coach who is also just starting his career, Pirlo does face a difficult task.

At first, Del Piero also claimed to be surprised by the steps taken by Juventus, choosing Pirlo as the new coach to replace Maurizio Sarri.

“I was very surprised as it was too soon for him to be in that position. I was shocked because I thought Juventus would choose a different path,” Del Piero said as quoted by Forbes. “This is a big challenge for all parties.”

However, Del Piero feels confident with his former teammate in the national team. Del Piero believes Pirlo will have the preparation needed to do his job. Because of his character who always prepares everything well, Del Piero believes that in the end Pirlo can use his situation to become a success.

“The club and this team are very strong. Andrea is also a great person. I don’t know what the plan is. But I know him well. I believe he will prepare himself and be ready to take this opportunity,” concluded Del Piero.
