Former World Boxer Wants to Purchase Newcastle United

DBasia.news –  Former US boxer, Floyd Mayweather, expressed his desire to purchase one of the Premier League teams, Newcastle United. The man who was unbeaten in his fist career expressed his desire when holding a promotional event in England.

Mayweather is recorded to have generated 1 billion US dollars or Rp. 14.4 trillion during his fist career. He believes that the Magpies are a great team, which makes the 43-year-old boxer sure to invest his money in the team currently owned by Mike Ashley.

“In the US, we call it ‘soccer,’ but the Newcastle football team is extraordinary, a great team,” Mayweather said as quoted by Goal.

“If they want me to purchase the Newcastle United team, let me know,” he concluded.

Although he has expressed his desire, the boxer with a 50-0 record has not taken steps to negotiate with Newcastle United.

Mayweather’s wishes are likely to be welcomed by the fans of the team who are currently 13th in the standings. The reason, the arrival of Mike Ashley as the owner of the Newcastle United team was disliked by fans.

A few incorrect policies has made Mike Ashley expected to immediately leave the team trained by Steve Bruce, such as the dismissal of Rafael Benitez, changing the name of the stadium which is considered only for the benefit of Mike’s company, and twice entering the relegation zone under his ownership.
