DBasia.news – Frank Lampard insists that he will not follow in the footsteps of Jose Mourinho who recently received the Tottenham Hotspur proposal.
Mourinho, who has twice served as Chelsea’s manager, replaces Mauricio Pochettino as Tottenham’s tactician, although he had previously said he would never coach Spurs.
However, Lampard, who spent most of his playing career at Stamford Bridge before becoming manager last summer, stressed that he would continue to maintain his deep ties with the club and would not imitate Mourinho’s steps.
“I can firmly say I will not train Tottenham and you can repeat it again in 10 years,” said Lampard.
“That won’t happen, but I think things are different. Jose Mourinho has worked in many football clubs and we must respect his right to work.”
