DBasia.news – Philippe Coutinho is not the right figure for Chelsea. Frank Leboeuf did not suggest Chelsea to recruit him from Barcelona.
Leboeuf questioned Coutinho’s tag set by Barcelona. According to him the price of 80 million pound (around Rp1.5 trillion) is too high for players like Coutinho. Leboeuf assessed Coutinho had failed at Barcelona.
Even so, Coutinho has had a pretty neat performance at Anfield and Leboeuf admitted that Coutinho is a player who has potential. This has made Coutinho the backbone of Liverpool’s game.
“To be honest, Chelsea shouldn’t sign him. In my opinion, Coutinho is a good player. However, we are talking about Chelsea, are they ready to pay £ 80 million,” Loboeuf said as quoted by Talk Sport.
“If you look at Coutinho’s qualities, of course he is a great and talented player, but I doubt that he is said to be a top player,” Loboeuf added.
“It’s different when we see Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappe, I see that they are top players. While Coutinho has the price of top players but not the quality,” he continued.
