Frankfurt captain ends the Bundesliga faster because of Pushing Freiburg’s Coach

DBasia.news – The DFB Disciplinary Commission decided not to let Eintracht Frankfurt captain David Abraham play in German League 1 until the turn of the year. Because of this, Abraham had to end the first round of the Bundesliga 1 season 2019-2020 sooner.
David Abraham was sentenced to seven weeks after being found guilty in an incident during Eintracht Frankfurt against SC Freiburg, 10 November 2019. At that time, he accidentally crashed into coach Christian Streich. His actions also triggered a negative reaction from Freiburg players.
David Abraham who was red-carded by referee Felix Brych because of his actions was declared to have attacked the opponent. On that basis, the DFB Disciplinary Commission dropped the suspension for seven weeks from 10 November to 29 December 2019. In addition, he was fined 25 thousand euros (around Rp387 million).
The DFB Disciplinary Commission stated that the sentence only applies to German football. Thus, the 33-year-old can still play when Eintracht Frankfurt appears in the Europa League. Noted there are still two games that will be carried out by Die Adler in the group phase of the European club event, namely against Arsenal and Vitoria Guimaraes.
There are six games the Frankfurt captain must miss during his suspension. The six matches were during Die Adler against VfL Wolfsburg, FSV Mainz 05, Hertha Berlin, FC Schalke 04, 1.FC Koeln and SC Paderborn.
Responding to the sentence imposed by the DFB Disciplinary Commission, David Abraham and Eintracht Frankfurt appealed. This opens up the opportunity for the player to plead in the next trial.
Related to the same incident, the DFB Disciplinary Commission also sentenced Freiburg midfielder Vincenzo Grifo, who was also red-carded by referee Felix Brych. He was suspended for three games over his attack on David Abraham in a riot after Christian Streich was attacked by the Frankfurt captain.
