Free Food Campaign for Children, Marcus Rashford Receives Praise from Juergen Klopp

DBasia.news – Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp praised Manchester United’s young striker Marcus Rashford for Rashford’s active campaign in giving free food for children.

Not only that, Klopp also praised the other Premier League players in their community during the competition suspended because of the corona pandemic.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and teammate James Milner helped launch a crisis fund to support health workers. While Rashford managed to put pressure to the government to expand the free school food coupon scheme during the summer holidays.

“What Henderson and the players did during the lockdown makes me proud. But I am not surprised to know that the players do many things without actually talking about it,” Klopp said.

Especially for Marcus Rashford, Klopp revealed he really appreciated the actions of the Man United striker.

“With what Marcus Rashford has done, I cannot appreciate it more. It’s unbelievable. He does the work in an extraordinary way,” Klopp said.

Furthermore, Klopp also revealed that he was pessimistic the Premier League continued. In fact, the German manager had thought the competition would be canceled.

“When the lockdown happened at first, I didn’t really think about the competition. But I started to worry when there was talk of canceling the competition,” he said.

Liverpool will make their first appearance after the Premier League rolled again against Everton on Monday (6/22). The Reds need six points to guarantee a Premier League title after waiting for 30 years.
