DBasia.news – Two Real Madrid players, Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon, were seen arriving at the Tottenham Hotspur training base, Friday (20/9/2020). They came for one thing, namely undergoing a photo shoot before being inaugurated as the new Tottenham Hotspur player.
Through in its official website, Tottenham has confirmed the signing of Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon. The two players came with different statuses.
For Bale, the player returned to Tottenham after Real Madrid loaned him out. The Welsh player is on loan for one season, without a redemption option.
For Bale, this is a happy moment after seven years leaving The Lilywhites. Bale can’t wait to get back into action in front of the Tottenham crowd.
“It’s great to be back. This is a special club for me. This is where my name was built,” Bale explained on Tottenham’s official website.
“What a club, what a fan, and it’s really great to be back. Hopefully I can back into shape and help the team win trophies.”
“When I left, I always thought it would be nice to come back one day. The opportunity arose and I felt it was the right time. I want to do well and can’t wait to start,” said Bale.
Meanwhile, Sergio Raguilon came on a permanent basis. Reportedly, Tottenham has poured out 30 million euros in funds to obtain the former Sevilla player.
Tottenham awarded a contract until 2025 for Sergio Reguilon. Real Madrid reportedly has the option of redeeming Reguilon at 45 million euros in the future.
In line with Bale, Reguilon is also glad to defend Tottenham. He is curious about the Premier League which is known as the best league.
“I really like the philosophy of the club and its coach. I like the Tottenham project and want to grow as a player. Tottenham has world-class players and world-class coaches. I want to work with them,” said Reguilon.
“I feel like I will play in the best and most challenging league in the world. I am delighted with this adventure. I feel responsible for the trust that Tottenham, the coach, Mr. Levy, has put on the pitch.”
Tottenham Hotspur played their second Premier League match against Southampton, at St. Mary’s Stadium, Sunday (20/9). In the first match, Jose Mourinho’s squad were defeated at the hands of Everton.
