Gareth Bale: No, I’m not going to Getafe

DBasia.news – Wales star Gareth Bale has denied that he will move to LaLiga club Getafe. Bale’s contract expires at Madrid on June 30.

Togetherness nine seasons of El Real and the 32-year-old striker was officially over. The former Tottenham Hotspur ace has been linked with a number of clubs in Europe and the United States, one of which is Getafe, who are also based in Madrid.

“Not. I will not move to Getafe, that’s for sure,” Bale said in a press conference session for the UEFA Nations League pre-match against Belgium, Friday (10/6).

“I just want to go into the World Cup to maximize my fitness. The [Wales] manager said that ideally he wants all the players in this team to play, and all the players want to play,” said the Southampton academy graduate.

“Hopefully I can enjoy the holidays then decide where I want to be and what I want to do to try and play to be fit for the World Cup,” he added.

Bale won 16 trophies during his Madrid career, but he barely played in the 2021/22 season, which ended with Los Blancos’ double LaLiga and Champions League titles.

Last season, the Cancer sign appeared in only seven of Madrid’s 56 matches across competitions with only four of them starting.

Meanwhile, Bale has been strongly linked with returning to his hometown to defend Cardiff City in the Championship Division, aka the second tier of the Premier League.
