DBasia.news – In the next five days, Barcelona will play Real Madrid in the El Clasico match at Copa del Rey (28/2) and La Liga (3/3) held at Santiago Bernabeu.
Santiago Solari, coach of Madrid, responded to the tight schedule with allusions to Barcelona who had a day off from Week 25 of La Liga (this week) with the first Clasico.
Suddenly Barcelona defender Gerard Pique responded to Solari’s comments. Pique clearly said, the last time Madrid had more time to rest for a day, they lost 1-5 from Barcelona.
“The last time they had a day’s rest we beat them with a score of 5-1,” said Pique responding to Solari’s complaints about the schedule which was also followed by Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde, as reported by Goal.
“Look, anyone can complain about the calendar. Sevilla plays Wednesday and today (Saturday). It depends on the club that talks about it (schedule), it can be a problem, but it happened to all of us. If that happens then it happens,” concluded Valverde.
Barca have gone through Week 25 of the La Liga with a 4-2 victory against Sevilla at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, Saturday evening (23/2). While Madrid will only compete against Levante at Ciutat de Valencia on Monday (25/2) WIB.
