DBasia.news – Inter Milan finally got a new sponsor. Starting from the 2021-2022 season, Socios will decorate the Nerazzurri jersey.
Inter and Pirelli did break the cooperation that existed for almost three decades. The absence of a significant increase in the value of the contract became the reason for the separation of the two parties.
A number of large companies had entered the list of candidates to replace Pirelli. But Inter finally dropped the choice to Socios.com.
“Inter Milan has announced a major new partnership with Chiliz $CHZ, a leading blockchain provider for the global sports and entertainment industry,” reads an Inter statement.
From this collaboration, Inter reportedly received fresh funds of 20 million euros per season. This amount is greater than that given by Pirelli, which is 12 million euros per season.
Socios.com is certainly still foreign to the ears of football lovers. Even so, this company from Malta is already experienced enough in the world of round skin.
Socios.com is a technology platform based on blockchain. They also became the first mobile application provider specifically aimed at football supporters.
Socios is owned by Alexandre Dreyfus who has extensive experience in the gaming and sports industry. This figure is also the founder of digital currency or crypto, Chiliz.
“The front of the Inter Milan jersey is the perfect space for us to promote the start of this new partnership. We are very proud to be able to use this privileged space to promote the launch of the $INTER Fan Token,” said Alexandre Dreyfus.
The goal of this platform is to increase fan engagement and monetize their experiences, both online and offline. Socios.com indirectly facilitates the interaction between supporters and their idol club.
“Socios, the club’s new global premier jersey partner will be the digital meeting place for Inter’s fan base worldwide. This partnership reflects the club’s progress towards creating a better fan experience globally,” continued an Inter statement.
By joining the Socios.com app, Inter fans can help provide an injection of funds to the club by purchasing tokens or virtual money. It also opens up opportunities for them to be involved in crucial decisions regarding the future of the Nerazzurri.
Previously, Socios had collaborated with big clubs such as Barcelona, Juventus, AC Milan, AS Roma and Paris Saint-Germain. But only Inter made them the main sponsor.
Even so, Socios.com will not be plastered on the chest of the Inter jersey. They prefer to put the words $INTER FAN TOKEN which is the product of this collaboration.
