DBasia.news – Former Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is upset that The Gunners were not able to see the best of Serge Gnabry. The ability of the 21-year-old player is actually being used by Bayern Munich.
Gnabry is one of the most dominant players with Munich during the Champions League. He also contributed two goals when Munich beat Lyon 3-0 in the semifinals which made him collect nine goals in the Champions League this season. Gnabry can become a field star when Munich against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the final.
Naturally, if Wenger was annoyed with Arsenal who wasted his talented young players leaving. The reason is, Wenger knows Gnabry’s ability because he recruited him from Stuttgart when he was 15 years old. Gnabry then left Arsenal in August 2016 just weeks after Wenger expressed his hopes for a long-term commitment to Arsenal.
Gnabry moved to Werder Bremen in 2016 before leaving for Munich 10 months later. Currently, he is a Bavarian future player who makes Arsenal bite his fingers when he sees his abilities on the field.
“Don’t forget Gnabry, I bought him at the age of 15 from Stuttgart and he’s been injured a lot. We have an agreement with him, you know. I have loaned him to West Brom and he doesn’t play. He’s back, he’s injured,” Wenger said as quoted by Sportskeeda, Friday (21/8).
Wenger claimed Arsenal had worked hard so that Gnabry could develop at that time. But the facts tell another, Gnabry must leave the Gunners and give his ability to Munich. Therefore, Wenger felt sad when Gnabry was reluctant to sign a contract at Arsenal.
According to Wenger, Gnabry is a player who can play in many positions. Gnabry is also considered as a smart and creative player. His right and left feet are both strong to score goals.
Apart from that, Gnabry has good penetration as well as speed. “He has grown rapidly and is one of the dominant players in Germany now,” he concluded.
