DBasia.news – Manuel Pellegrini prepares three West Ham United FC Academy’s players as the starter for the third round of Carabao Cup, Wednesday (26/9). One name, Grady Diangana qualified for the main squad starter for the first time.

Vini, Vidi, and Vici. Perhaps that’s the right quote for Diangana. The 20-year-old striker wasn’t only scoring two goals in his debut at senior team West Ham in the match against Macclesfield Town with the 8-0 score.

Besides Diangana, two other West Ham Academy players, Joe Powell and Conor Coventry, came as the substitute player in the second round. Previously, one of the academy club’s alumni, Decian Rice has secured one place in the main squad and performed consistently.

Now, the supporters are raising their expectation to see more of Diangana. He himself didn’t except the first chance to support the senior team went amazing.

“I’ve always dreamed about it, but for it to actually happen, I never really expected it. I never thought my debut would be like that,” he said.

Diangana just realized that he will support the team in the match against Macclesfield when all the squad have prepared themselves in the morning before the match. “The first words I got were the support from the coach to enjoy the match and not fear to enter the pitch,” said Diangana who joined West Ham Academy in 2020.
