DBasia.news – Granit Xhaka had reached an agreement to anchor to Hertha Berlin and told Arsenal that he wanted to join the Bundesliga club, according to the player’s agent Jose Noguera.
The future of the Swiss midfielder at the Emirates Stadium has begun to be doubted since he looked angry when pulled out of the field during the match against Crystal Palace, which ended in a 2-2 draw in October.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach player is known to have challenged the host supporters, who mocked when Xhaka was replaced against Palace before taking off his uniform and then walked off the pitch.
After being removed from the captain’s post by former Arsenal coach Unai Emery, the possibility of Xhaka could be released in the January transfer window.
However, Arsenal’s new coach Mikel Arteta expressed admiration for Xhaka, revealing how he suggested that Manchester City recruit him in 2016.
Noguera claimed that the 27-year-old made a deal with Hertha Berlin’s coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
“Look, I will be honest – we have agreed with Hertha and want to go to Berlin,” said Noguera.
“That’s what we say to Arsenal boss Raul Sanllehi and sporting director Edu Gaspar and new coach Mikel Arteta.”
