DBasia.news – Cardiff young team manager, Craig Bellamy, commented his former team, Manchester City, decision to get Riyad Mahrez. Bellamy is interested to see whether Pep Guardiola can restore the player’s performance.
Riyad Mahrez shows inconsistency during the last two seasons. In fact, during the 2015-2016 season, the Algerian player scored 17 goals and 10 assists in 37 Premier League matches.
The good performance was also contributing to the success of Leicester City in making a history as the Premier League champion.
“But I’m just interested because I believe Guardiola is the best coach in the world at this present moment. I think he’s been the best coach in the world over the last six, seven, eight years,” said Bellamy.
Though he wasn’t impressing during the last season, Manchester City was willingly given £60M to get the 27-year-old player.
“I’m interested to see how he improves Mahrez. The best thing with Guardiola, he improves players, he makes them better,” he emphasized.
Manchester City played versus Borussia Dortmund in the 2018 International Champions Cup in Soldier Field, Saturday (21/7). Meanwhile, during the opening match of Premier League, Kevin de Bruyne and friends will play to Arsenal’s base.
