DBasia.news – Josep “Pep” Guardiola has insisted he will not be managing another club in England after he is no longer at Manchester City. The Spanish coach is not interested in coaching English clubs other than Man City.
“In England, I always thought of being at Man City. If I had to come back, I would go to Man City. If they wanted me,” Guardiola said as quoted by Sky Sports.
“I don’t want to think about coaching another club in England. I am part of this club,” Guardiola added.
So, where will Guardiola go? The 50-year-old coach has revealed several times that when his job at City is finished, he wants to train at the national team level.
“I’ve said several times when my job here is over, it’s an honor to be able to experience the European Cup, the World Cup. But I know it’s not easy,” said Guardiola.
That’s why, if he hasn’t had the opportunity to manage the national team, Guardiola said he has no problem retraining a club.
Guardiola has been in charge of City since 2016. Together with The Citizens, Guardiola has given him many titles, including three Premier League titles, one FA Cup and four Premier League Cups.
Guardiola’s contract with City will expire at the end of the 2023 season.
