In an interview, the former Ajax Amsterdam player claimed to have been thrilled with his decision to move to the London Blue. He didn’t just make a decision. He liked the style of football owned by coach Frank Lampard. So steadily the Moroccan star was heading to Stamford Bridge.
“I like the style he is using now. I made a big decision to join Chelsea because of an attacking game,” Ziyech said as quoted on Sky Sports, Wednesday (7/15).
The 27-year-old footballer claimed to have just realized his childhood dream. He always wanted to play in the English Premier League. As a teenager, he studied at the Heerenveen academy. At that time he had followed Chelsea’s lunge.
“There are Didier Drogba, Lampard and John Terry here. All are big players,” Ziyech stated.
