Harry Kane’s hopes for Jose Mourinho

DBasia.news –  It hasn’t been long since Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Tottenham Hotspur as the new manager to replace the sacked Mauricio Pochettino. Tottenham striker Harry Kane expressed his hopes for a strong relationship with the manager.

Mourinho successfully passed his first two matches as Spurs’ new manager by bringing his team to victory, namely when they defeated West Ham United 3-2 at home in the English Premier League and 4-2 when they hosted Olympiakos in the Champions League.

Kane is also ambitious to win his first trophy at Spurs with the figure nicknamed The Special One.

“This is still an early era, we have a good relationship so far, we talk to each other, we try and help the team,” Kane was quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

“Obviously with me being the leader of the team, he asked me about what was felt (the players) and suggestions for the team.

“When you win a match, it certainly helps your relationship. Hopefully, we can build strong relationships.

“We know we both want to win big competitions. That is the main target of this team, and that is my target as well as the manager. Hopefully, I can help him this year and we will see later where we will end.

“He is the new manager, he has only been here for less than a week, he has passed two matches. So far, everything has been to try to save energy, not to work too hard with the players because there will be lots of matches.

“But of course we have a long season, so I’m sure we will get to know each other in the next few weeks and implement what he wants for the team.

“In the end, we have won two out of two matches, the positive prefix so hopefully it continues.”
