DBasia.news – Real Madrid is considered to be trying to ruin the career of an Eden Hazard. The allegation was conveyed by the coach of the Belgian national team, Roberto Martinez.
Hazard’s difficult times at Madrid have continued. Since arriving in the summer of 2019, the former Chelsea star has not been able to prove his best qualities.
Hazard also spends more time in the treatment room. Injuries have made him only appear 54 times and recorded five goals and nine assists with Madrid.
But Martinez assesses that Hazard’s condition is quite fit throughout the 2021-2022 season. He also questioned Carlo Ancelotti’s decision to play him more as a substitute.
Throughout this season, Hazard has appeared eleven times in all competitions. But he was only played five times as a starter.
According to Martinez, this fact bothered Hazard’s mentality. His confidence began to decline and had a bad effect on the field.
“Hazard is medically in his best moment since he arrived at Real Madrid. But he went through a sad phase in terms of football,” Martinez told COPE.
“This is the first time he has experienced it. He was a player who always led the winning project and now he doesn’t have that role.”
It’s understandable for Martinez to be nervous. Hazard’s declining performance will affect the strength of Belgium.
Even though the 2022 World Cup could be the last chance for the Belgian Golden Generation to win a prestigious trophy. Martinez certainly needs the best qualities of his stars to make that happen.
“Hazard is an extraordinary talent, and it never goes away. You just have to believe in him.”
