DBasia.news – Henrikh Mkhitaryan joined AS Roma from Arsenal for a season on loan. He hopes to open a new chapter in the Giallorossi.
The 30-year-old Armenian national team player, joined Roma from Arsenal’s Premier League club until June 30, 2020, with a loan fee of 3 million euros.
The agreement also includes the potential for additional payments that can reach a maximum of 100,000 euros – depending on the achievement of certain targets.
“This is a great opportunity for me to start a new chapter with a great club,” Mkhitaryan said.
“I know this club and I am sure we can achieve great things together.”
Mkhitaryan joined the club with much experience in Europe, having previously played for Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Shakhtar Donetsk.
“Henrikh fits our desire to add depth to the squad, which can be an example for our young players, and also has the technical quality to quickly adjust to Serie A football,” said Roma’s Sports Director, Gianluca Petrachi.
Mkhitaryan will use the number 77 back number with Giallorossi.
“Being able to become a Chelsea core player is very special,” he concluded.
