Hernan Crespo Was Appointed as Coach of Sao Paulo

DBasia.news – The former Argentine national team striker, Hernan Crespo, has been officially appointed as coach of Brazilian giants Sao Paulo.
This confirmation was announced by Sao Paulo through their social media accounts on Saturday (13/2).

Previously, Crespo successfully led the Argentine club, Defensa y Justicia, to win the Copa Sudamericana [South America’s Europa League].
In the final, Defensa beat fellow Argentine club Lanus 3-0 on January 23rd.
The club’s first title in history! As well as Crespo’s first achievement as a coach.
On February 9th, Crespo resigned from Defensa ahead of the Argentine League start to the 2021 season. He was rumored to be working with the Chilean national team before finally accepting Sao Paulo’s offer.
Recently, Sao Paulo sacked coach Fernando Diniz after the club nicknamed the Tricolor failed to win in the last eight games and almost missed the chance to win.
Now, the Brazilian Serie A is entering the end of the 2020 season and Sao Paulo is scattered in fourth place in the standings.
