DBasia.news – Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, all-out criticized Unai Emery, manager of the Gunners, after the 0-1 defeat of Sheffield United in Week nine of the Premier League.
After the match, Emery also said the failure of Nicolas Pepe to take advantage of a golden opportunity to be a turning point in his troops’ game. “There is the key,” Emery was quoted by talkSport.
“I value it to be the key because if it succeeds in being a goal (the game will be different). They and Liverpool are the team that conceded the least,” continued Emery.
“It’s not easy to make chances, but I think we are more in control of the game. I think we deserve better results. I think we don’t deserve to lose.”
Hearing Emery’s comments, Ian Wright was furious. Players who strengthened Arsenal from 1991 to 1998 seemed to not believe the words of Emery.
“He said ‘we don’t deserve to lose’,” Wright wrote on his personal Twitter account.
Wright also highlighted Emery’s decision which he said had made mistakes in choosing a starter, including not playing a creative midfielder like Dani Ceballos.
“He (Emery) made a change in the second half by playing Ceballos. You think, why Ceballos wasn’t played from the beginning,” said Wright.
“Aubameyang did not get anything because there was no creativity (in midfield).”
