DBasia.news – Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave a quite horrendous statement regarding AC Milan. The Swedish striker said next season’s scudetto could be won if he was defended.
Ibrahimovic shined in Milan, after being brought in last January. The 38-year-old striker has made 6 goals from 13 appearances.
Finally, Ibrahimovic became the star of Milan’s 4-2 victory over Juventus in Week 31 of the Italian League on Tuesday (8/7). He made one goal in that match.
Together with Ibrahimovic, Milan’s performance was mounting up. Now Stefano Pioli’s men are ranked 7th in the Italian League standings, despite being knocked out of the top 10.
Ibrahimovic’s own contract will expire this summer, because the contract is only six months. He also considered The Rossoneri could have won the Italian League, if he stays, amid the rumors that he would also retire.
“If they hold me, we can win the scudetto next year. After 20 years, I know my body. I am a training fanatic. I feel still strong, better,” Ibrahimovic, who brought Milan scudetto in 2011, told Sky Sports.
Ibrahimovic himself claimed there was no discussion about the new contract. He asked all parties to wait for what would happen.
“Yes, we’ll see. I still have three weeks left on the contract. Nobody has started a conversation, either from my side or Milan. Nobody knows how it is going forward. Now we focus on playing and completing the season as best as we can, and see what will happen,” he said.
