DBasia.news – Zlatan Ibrahimovic told Bologna of his willingness to join the club in January, said Bologna’s sporting director Riccardo Bigon.
Ibrahimovic this week has made sure to leave the LA Galaxy after two seasons of strengthening the MLS club.
The 38-year-old striker intends to continue his career in Italy, said Galaxy coach, Guillermo Barros Schelotto. He will have many options given his free transfer status.
AC Milan, Fiorentina and Napoli are some of the clubs that are said to want to bring in the veteran player, but Bologna have a greater chance of landing the player because of his relationship with coach, Inisa Mihajlovic. Both have worked together at Inter Milan.
“There is still another month and a half until the transfer market opens,” Bigon said.
“He said he was open to coming to Bologna, but now he thinks first after announcing the split to MLS to evaluate all of his future options.”
