Ignorant to Rumors, Pioli Focuses on Bringing Milan to European Competition

DBasia.news – Stefano Pioli’s future at AC Milan is being speculated. The 54-year-old coach emphasized his focus is only to bring the team to qualify for European competition. The rumors that are circulating and continue to gets louder lately is that he will be replaced by Ralf Rangnick, who currently serves as the Head of Sports and Development Section of RB Leipzig.

Some media reports, Milan has gotten the green light from Ralf Rangnick. Aside from being a head coach, Ralf Rangnick is also rumored to be filling the position of sporting director.

The rumor reached Pioli’s ear. The manager rated, news that’s developing should not interfere his performance.

“We are professionals and should not be disturbed because we have the aim of improving our position. Our position in the table does not reflect the quality we have. We have the opportunity to prove it,” Pioli answered as reported by Italian Football.

Milan’s main focus now is to penetrate the European qualification zone. Now, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his friends occupy the eighth position on the standings with 36 points.

“They who have to make a decision and then decide. All coaches are on the same boat. Our life and death are determined by the results.”

“It is unfortunate if we end the season in this position. However, we have showed we can fight against teams with a better position in the standings,” he explained.

Milan will continue their work in Serie A by visiting Lecce headquarters on Tuesday (6/23). Afterward, the Rossoneri will host AS Roma.
