DBasia.news – Arsenal legend Ian Wright wants Mesut Ozil to stay longer at the club than Unai Emery.
Throughout this season Mesut Ozil has only performed twice for Arsenal. On the other hand, Emery asked the German playmaker to improve his performance. Later many people asked Emery to start giving Arsenal the highest-paid player the opportunity to play.
One of the parties who did not understand the reason behind Emery’s decision to waste Ozil’s energy was Ian Wright. The former Gunners striker rate Ozil is the most talented player possessed by Arsenal at the moment.
“I hope Ozil,” Wright answered when asked who he hoped to stay at Arsenal, as reported by Goal.
“He said he wouldn’t leave. For me, hopefully, it’s Ozil.”
“I am very disappointed to see Ozil, not in the squad. Because I think Arsenal do not have players as creative as Ozil. Just look at the statistics,” Wright explained.
“They are not very creative and receive lots of enemy fire. So they need someone creative. Mesut Ozil is that person.”
“I do not understand what happened between Unai and Mesut. For me who will get into trouble if the situation does not change is Unai Emery,” concluded Wright.
