Increasing Contract Offer, Lazio Are Getting Serious about Signing Romagnoli

DBasia.news – Lazio are reportedly serious about signing Alessio Romagnoli on a free transfer considering they have raised their contract offer for the AC Milan captain.

As stated by Il Corriere dello Sport, Biancoceleste president Claudio Lotito will go one step further to sign Romagnoli and make him the club’s new captain.

The Rossoneri centre-back has been a fan of the capital team since childhood, so the idea of one day joining them has always been in his mind.

Lotito’s latest offer was a base salary of 3.2 million euros or equivalent to IDR 51.2 billion net per season, which is a very high nominal even though it is still far from the salary he currently receives at Milan at 5.5 million euros or IDR 88 billion.

Paolo Maldini and his true friends have tried to keep him by submitting a proposal that is lower than that number and he seems more and more likely to accept Lazio’s proposal and realize his personal ambitions.

Maurizio Sarri has also given the green light for the transfer as he believes the Italy international will improve their defensive qualities. A five-year contract is also ready so that the total commitment that the Biancoceleste will offer to the Rossoneri captain is 31 million euros or IDR 496 billion gross.

If Romagnoli really leaves and moves to Lazio, he will be the second Milan player to leave the club on a free transfer this summer after Franck Kessie joined Barcelona.
