DBasia.news – Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola faces a difficult situation due to Kevin De Bruyne injury. However, the former Bayern Munchen coach found the player who can replace De Bruyne.

Kevin De Bruyne injured during the training with The Citizens. The Belgium national player is predicted to absent for three months.

The condition gave Manchester City a big hit. No wonder, De Bruyne is the mastermind behind City’s attack.

However, Guardiola sees a hope from the young player, Phil Foden. The 18-year-old player will have a bright future.

“We know him very well. He was with us last season, he is part of the group,” Guardiola told English newspapers. “Sometimes last season he went with the second team, first team, second team — now he is part of the team,” Guardiola said reported by ESPN.

“When I believe he has to play, he plays. All I can say is that I’m so delighted the way he trains every single day. He trains like a professional, the way he improves, and he has the same chances, like the other guys, to win my decision.”

Phil Foden is the alumnus of Man City academy. Guardiola once sent him during the match between City against Chelsea in the Community Shield.

“He will grow. That’s why the focus first is teaching the technique as the most important thing. He will grow and take power and after it will be easy for him. But he has the quality to play with us, that is no doubt,” the manager emphasized.
