DBasia.news – Real Madrid were unlucky with injuries at the 2019/20 preseason. First, Marco Asensio was seriously injured and is predicted to be sidelined for seven months. Now, there is one more Madrid player who has fallen because of an injury.
That being new Madrid player, Ferland Mendy, who was brought in from Olympique Lyonnais in the 2019 summer transfer market with a transfer value reaching to 48 million euros. The player who plays as left back has suffered a thigh injury.
As reported by the Goal, Ferland Mendy is expected to be absent for at least one month to undergo the recovery process. This will make the 24-year-old player be absent for rest of the preseason series which will be held by Los Blancos during the start of the 2019/20 season competition.
The French player is also expected to be absent when Madrid goes against Celta Vigo in Balaidos on Saturday (17/8) in the opening match of the 2019 La Liga competition. Currently Zinedine Zidane’s team has Marcelo and Nacho Fernandez who can be used as an option to fill the left back position.
